Terms of Service

Savemonei helps you track personal finances on your device—transactions, accounts, budgets, goals, loans, subscriptions you track, reports, and a dashboard. An optional in-app assistant can help with questions about your money and the app.

Most of your financial ledger is stored locally on your device. Optional features (account login, profile, catalogs, Google Drive backup, diagnostics, remote assistant help) use our servers or third-party services you connect. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your login secure.

You may change your password in the app. Do not share your password with others. Notify us at savemonei@spoold.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You own the financial content you enter (transactions, accounts, notes, and related ledger data). Local ledger data remains under your control on your device unless you export it, back it up, or include limited context when using remote assistant features.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and otherwise use information you provide only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the features you use, as described in our Privacy Policy. This license does not transfer ownership of your financial content to Savemonei.

Because ledger data is primarily local, losing your device, clearing app data, or uninstalling without a backup may mean permanent loss of that data. You are responsible for creating backups or exports if you want copies.

Savemonei is not responsible for loss of locally stored financial data resulting from device loss, device damage, operating-system changes, app-data deletion, or failure to create or maintain a backup.

If you enable Google Drive backup or share/export files, you are responsible for those copies and for deleting them when you no longer want them.

The assistant is a convenience feature. Answers may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. When remote AI features are used, limited information such as your question, recent conversation context, account/category names, and certain financial figures or summaries derived from your local data may be sent through our backend to an AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service may rely on third parties such as Supabase (authentication and related storage), Google (Drive backups you enable; Firebase diagnostics when enabled), hosting providers, and AI model providers for remote assistant features. Their terms and privacy practices also apply to their processing. Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and limitations. We do not control those third-party services.

Savemonei currently does not require a paid subscription for its core personal finance tracking features. The term “subscriptions” within the app refers to services or recurring expenses that you choose to track, such as streaming services or utilities.

If we introduce paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future, we will provide the applicable pricing and terms before purchase. Purchases made through Google Play will also be subject to Google Play's applicable terms and policies.

You agree not to:

• Misuse the Service, probe, or disrupt our systems
• Attempt unauthorized access to others’ accounts or data
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Reverse engineer or scrape the Service except where allowed by law
• Upload malware or abusive content
• Abuse AI or other features in ways that harm the Service or other users

The Savemonei name, logos, UI, and software (excluding your data) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or redistribute them except as allowed by these Terms or with our written permission.

THE SERVICE IS A PERSONAL ORGANIZATION TOOL. IT IS NOT A BANK, BROKER, PAYMENT SERVICE, CREDIT PRODUCT, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVISOR. Balances, reports, insights, and assistant answers may be inaccurate. You are solely responsible for financial decisions you make.

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features that depend on networks, Google, AI providers, or our backend may be unavailable at times. Local tracking may still work offline for features that do not require a network.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAVEMONEI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $10.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your online account in the app (Settings → Security → Delete account) or as described on our Delete account page. Deleting your account removes server-side account data we control; local data and external backups are handled as described in the Privacy Policy and Delete account page.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where appropriate, we may also notify you through the app or by email. Where permitted by applicable law, your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
